Our fundamental service where we source,
inspect and report on relevant properties on your behalf.
Using our unique online communication feedback system we
describe photographically, in writing and on a “ratings
card” the properties seen on your behalf along with
our recommendations as to its suitability for you.
If judged “a possible” we will arrange a viewing
by you, recommending travel & accommodation as necessary.
When you have seen that dream home we will advise upon
and conduct negotiations on your behalf keeping you fully
informed of progress.
When a sale is agreed, we will recommend a notaire or lawyer
to act on your behalf (unless you are happy with the traditional
French “one notaire for all” option) and oversee
the transaction to its conclusion, again keeping you fully
informed of progress on our feedback system.
What’s The First Step?
If either our brochure or website fails to answer any of
your queries or you want to get a feel for whom you are
dealing with, telephone or email us.
Once you know that Unique Homes France and our Property
Finder service is right for you, register online or with
the form posted to you.
How Do We
Know What You Are Looking For?
Although we do ask you to fill in a basic questionnaire,
the most important step is an interview with you,
wherever possible in person- although circumstances
sometimes dictate that this might be over the telephone.
Here we will gain a thorough understanding of your
needs, wants and motivations.
Then, once our Registration Fee has been paid, we
will start searching for your future home.
How Do We Find The Houses?
We will actively look for properties from traditional
sources such as estate agents but also via alternative
avenues including our network of personal contacts,
trusted notaires (particularly effective for finding
probate sales), poorly disseminated privately advertised
homes and direct personal approaches where an ideal
dwelling is not even for sale.
How Are You Told About Relevant Houses?
We produce an initial short list which will be displayed
within your personal, password protected, space on
our website.

Want Us To Inspect One Of The Properties?
If you are happy with our recommendations or want us to
check out a house we’ve advised against (we’re
not infallible despite our best efforts), we’ll view
it for you and upload our description & photographs,
compile the “report card” and give our recommendations.
Time for You to View!
You, our client, can then confirm which properties you
wish to view personally and liaise with us over the date
and time. We will accompany you around the selected houses.
Want To Buy?
Once you wish to open negotiations, we will personally
handle matters with the seller or his representative on
your behalf and try and secure a purchase within your parameters.
Sale Agreed!
We’re off and running! We will confirm the terms,
conditions and contact details of the involved parties having
recommended legal advisors to act on your behalf, as necessary.
Our role remains integral to the transaction as we manage
the conveyancing, introduce mortgage providers, arrange
surveys if required (not that there even is such a profession
in France!) and obtain agreement on completion dates.
Exchange of Contracts & Completion
Unless you decide to grant the Notaire a power of attorney,
we will accompany you to their office at the time of signing
and assist you in understanding the processes and costs.
Once the purchase has been made and the keys handed to
you we will help you celebrate!
